  I n late March 2025, Türkiye once again captured global headlines amid mass protests organised by the main opposition party, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), in major cities including Istanbul , Ankara and Izmir. Observers are struggling to understand what is happening in the country, but this situation is not unique to Türkiye. The entire global political stage is marked by ambiguity. Assegnato a Roma il premio BOOKS for PEACE 2025 al Professor Guglielmo Verdirame

  Il Premio BOOKS for PEACE 2025 è stato assegnato al Professor  Guglielmo Verdirame , Baron Verdirame, KC , Professore di Diritto Internazionale al King’s  College di Londra dal 2018. In passato, è stato membro del Lauterpacht Centre for International Law presso l’ Università di Cambridge , Junior Research Fellow del Merton College di Oxford , Visiting Professor Fellow presso la Harvard Law School e Visiting Professor presso la Columbia Law School . Ha pubblicato ampiamente nel campo del Diritto Internazionale Pubblico e siede nell'Advisory Board dell' American Review of International Arbitration . Il Professor Verdirame è Membro della Camera dei Lord , è stato nominato Queen’s Counsel ed attualmente ricopre la carica di King's Counsel .
