  A mid turbulent events that have gripped the world, including two wars in Europe and the Middle East, Belarus is gearing up for its presidential elections on 26 January 2025. This event marks a critical turning point in the political life of Belarus, which, despite all challenges, has maintained security and stability while achieving an impressive level of economic growth. A total of 6,913,965 Belarusian citizens are eligible to vote in what can be viewed as a popular referendum on the direction the country will take in the coming period.   Il Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri pro tempore, On. Giorgia Meloni , parla di "valori comuni" tra Italia e Stati Uniti d'America , il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella , si riferisce spesso ai "valori comuni" dell' Unione Europea , l' Occidente intero (Nato, Unione Europea etc.) parla della necessitá della difesa dei nostri "valori", attraverso il sostegno militare alla Repubblica di Ucraina, contro il pericolo rappresentato dalla Federazione Russa e dal suo Presidente Vladimir Putin .   La Camera preliminare I della Corte Penale Internazionale che ha sede all' Aja , in Olanda , ha emesso, com'é noto, dei mandati di arresto (richiesti a maggio 2024) per il Premier dello Stato di Israele ,  Benjamin Netanyahu , per l'ex Ministro della Difesa, Gallant , e per il leader di Hamas Deif . Si tratta di una iniziativa simbolica , in quanto Israele , ma anche altri Paesi (ad esempio gli Stati Uniti d'America, l'India, la Repubblica Popolare Cinese), non hanno mai firmato lo Statuto di Roma, datato 17 luglio 1998 ed in vigore dal 01 luglio 2002 , che disciplina la composizione, le competenze ed il funzionamento della Corte penale internazionale la quale giudica persone e non Stati. Non riconoscendone la giurisdizione, per Israele il mandato di arresto é ovviamente privo di qualunque efficacia giuridica .
